Andrew Jones is the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students at Franklin College. In his role, Andrew works with his team to shape the out-of-classroom experience for Franklin College students. He oversees Residence Life, Health and Counseling, Student Involvement, Greek Life, Diversity and Inclusion, Academic Support, Religious Life, and Dining Services and serves on the President’s Cabinet.
Andrew grew up in Valparaiso, and earned a Bachelor of Music and Master of Science in Education from Butler University. While working at Butler, Andrew earned a Doctoral Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. He then served in several roles at Illinois College, leaving the institution as Associate Provost, before joining the Franklin College community in October of 2019.
Andrew’s wife, Polly, is the owner and teacher of Miss Polly’s Music Class, an early childhood music program in Franklin and Columbus and a proud Franklin Chamber member. Their children, Oliver and Adelaide, attend Franklin Community High School where Oliver runs cross country and track and Adelaide plays tennis; Adelaide is also a member of the Style Dance Academy Company. Andrew’s family attends Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin. In his spare time, Andrew likes to read, play tennis and pickleball and travel with his family.
